Personal propagation was not even the primary methodology of dawah of the Prophet (saw). The true methodology of spreading the call to Islam is the reimplementation of the Islamic state and spread and manifestation of that state throughout the lands.
When nonMuslims live within a properly implemented Islamic state, a khilafah state, this the best MESSAGE to them. They live Islam, understand it. And if the first generation does not embrace Islam- as many in ash Sham did not embrace Islam the first generation- the following generations do embrace Islam.
After 13 years of the Prophet(saaw)'s work in Makka, only about 100 people had embraced Islam. But after 10 years of an Islamic state, 100s of 1000s of people had embraced Islam.

And the spread of the Islamic state occurs through Jihad. The Sharii meaning of Jihad is "the material force needed to remove the obsticals impeding the message of Islam." The greatest obsticals impeding Islam today is the absence of the Islamic state, the khilafah. Today, we have Muslims leaving Islam, engaging in all kinds of kufr within Muslim lands. The people of the world need the believers to wake up to our reality and serve as the example.

So please consider this when discussing the Dawah of Islam to mankind.

Without disagreeing with what you said, I would like to ask how you define the 'primary' way, since 13 years of pesonal da'wah is obviously more in number of years of the rest of his (peace be upon him) prophethood.
