In the ummah of Nabi Muhammad (s) are there any prophets (a)?

I once heard a hadith that "Musa (a) is from my ummah". Is this true? When prophet Issa (a) returns will he be considered from the ummah of Nabi Muhammed (s).

Sayyiduna Rasulullah (Peace and Blessings from Allah be upon him) is the final Nabi and there is no Nabi after him. I don't know which Hadith you're referring to so I won't comment on it but when Sayyiduna Isa (Peace and Blessings be upon him) returns, it will not be as a Nabi or an Ummati in the normal sense of the word but somewhere in between. In addition, the word Ummati can have different meanings (Refer to Abqaat, Vol 1, page 463 to 475 by Hadhrat Allamah Dr Khalid Mahmood Sahib [daamat barakaatuhum] for a detailed discussion on this topic)

According to Imam Suyuti, Sayyidina Isa :alayhis: is among this Ummah and he considers him to be the sahabah by definition. Because during the Mi'raj, Prophet Muhammad :alayhis: lead all prophets in the salah, so Sayyidina Isa (a.s), being still alive, must have seen the final prophet Muhammad :alayhis:, thus should be considered sahabah by definition.

I wish I could locate the reference where Imam Suyuti had spoken about this, but I can't at this moment. Sorry.

I remember reading about how Isa :alayhis: is also considered as a sahabi because of israa and mi'raaj in the tafsir book Illuminating Discourses on the Noble Qur'an.

I think it was in the tafsir towards the end of suratun Nisaa.

The books are now in the Masjid so I don't have the exact reference either.

I was mistaken as a matter of fact. It was in another surah

Mufti Muhammad Aashiq Illahi Muhajir Madani:rahma: writes in Anwaarul Bayaan:

When Rasulullah:saw: went on M'iraj he met several Ambiyaa:alayhis: including Hadhrat Isa:alayhis:. However, since others had already passed away, Hadhrat Isa:alayhis: was the only one of them who met Rasulullah:saw: while still alive. This is why he is also regarded as a Sahabi.
