Places to Follow the Tariqa

Are there any places to follow a Tariqa in the United States, such as the one Shaykh Nuh Keller did in Virginia in 1998?

do you mean "latifiya"? Or are you looking for a shaykh within the U.S. to follow the tariqa?

Depending on the area that you're in, you could find all the other muslims that would like to hold the dars and do that, though you could ask shaykh nuh on what to do for that.
Usually the ppl hold the dhikr, then listen to a short dars by shaykh nuh (a tape or cd of him), then talk about a short portion of the imam al ghazali 's books ilya ul deen, then ppl have snacks/meal/tea...with singing of some qasidahs (nasheeds).

they just listen to it, so they can benefit from it and possibly apply it to their daily life, so if one tape part talks about 'thinking good of your brother and wanting what's best for your brother and by doing good for him, you avoid back biting, and slandering and gossiping and talking ill of him or something that he would dislike, etc.' they would discuss that and how you can find other things to talk about in gatherings rather than talk about useless things that will not benefit you or increase your remembrance of Allah swt.

the tapes of shaykh nuh are usually the ones taped when he was in virginia, or sometimes they're from the uk, or even when he would do it in cairo.

I dont know of any shaykh's that do that within the usa, just ones that do them are based in overseas but they do have mureeds within the usa / canada. You could try emailing sunnipath to ask and we can forward it to the shaykhs there as they might know of someone to point it out to you insha'Allah.

Yes, we do, and it works. Shaykh Nuh also comes once or twice a year for the suhba. In the Shadhili tariqa, the shaykh isn't as emphasised as in other tariqas, as I'm sure you know from listening to VA98. For the khalwa, though, murids will go to Jordan and the shaykh will guide them through the process.
