as-salaamu `alaykum,

It is shocking to see that orientalists and a new sect (a mix of everything) is attacking Ahl al-Sunnah wal Jamaah. I don't know the agenda of this unknown sect posting at amwaat forum (ahya) !

Historically, only few Hanbalis opposed Asharis & Maturidis. No Sunni scholar from Hanbali madhhab ever declared Asharis or Maturidis as Innovators.

Who are these new people who are not Salafis and attacking Asharis and Maturidis ?? Are they working for some anti-Islamic organizations whose main aim is to divide the Ummah and keep the ummah busy in sectarian fights ?

And why are they allowed to post on this forum ?

assalaamu^alaikum

it would be better if you could qoute this new sect, since i would like to know who they are etc. However hashwiyyah, mushabiha, mujasima and now with the new name of salafiyyah more like the so-called salafiyyah who are neither here or there. They must be a break off branch, but it would be good if you can get more information on them.

abu bakr your anylisis of many scholars from all four schools, can you mention them as well, since the ones you will find are amongst the hanabila. and thats not all of them as well!

as for your claim of false concept of ta'weel then that stands as nothing. i would like to ask you mushabiha since you assign a shin to allah, so what do u mean by the word shin, abu bakr your online now you can answer it insha allah

i will provide you a link in which i asked this question before! just do ask i will give it insha allah

As sallamu alaikum

Just before this spirals in to another taweel/tafweed debate I would like to give sinscere advice to all people on both sides:

Are you Ulema? Do you really have the ilm to debate on this issue? This is a real sensitive issue. None of us would wanna say anything wrong. Think carefully brothers. As far as I know the only person whose qualified to partake in this debate is Sheikh abul Hasan. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I just wish to point out that I'm not attacking any of you guys just stating that this can be a very touchy subject.
Wa alaikum as sallam

The scholars of the Haramayn Shareefayn have counted the Asharis and Maturidis among the Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama'ah. The Asharis and Maturidis have counted the Atharis and even Sheikhul Islam Ibn Taymiyyah (RA) [ with the exception of a few ] , among the Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama'ah.

Only a person who is either a Jahil ,or a Pathless ( actually, both are used as synonyms), can turn this into a Sunni, and non-Sunni issue.

using words like "jahil" and "pathless" to describe people who may or may not have knowledge about certain issues, regardless if they are muslim or not, is not right. We should never demean anyone despite the fact they may have differing beliefs or opinions. No one ever won anyone to the correct path by breaking their heart or pounding them over the head with the divine scripture.

Few, means, few. I actually never did the census, but they are less, for there has been a fight from both sides, we must admit.

JazakAllah for your advice sister. Actually, the word Jahil, when I use, is opposed to Aalim, not that ignorant all over. Likewise, pathless is used for a person who has no path to follow, we follow the Qur'an and Sunnah , and derive it's understanding, when contradicted, from the rules set forth by Imam Abu Hanifah (Rahimahullah) and his disciples.
So we follow madhab(path) Hanafi to the Sirat-Mustaqeem.

Likewise is the case with the followers of aimma-thalatha. One who does not have a path(madhab) is called a pathless. This term is basically an english alternative of the arabic word for non-Muqallids, called "La Madhabiyyah".

and Allah knows best,

Hmmm... I was under the impression that there was considerable opposition to some of his views both during and after his life.

By "new sect" do you mean people like Abdullah Maulay and AR Qadri who ascribe themselves to a madhhab (other than Hanbali) and attack the asha`irah?
