Assalamu Alaikum Wr Wb,

Post the links to the online bayans (lectures) that you've listened to and benefited from. The goal of this thread is that through it, Insha-Allah, more and more of us will start listening to Islamic lectures and thus not only will our knowledge increase, with the Help of Allah, but also Insha-Allah, we'll start implementing what we hear, putting it into practice. Only put the link to the bayan (which can be heard online), title and speaker of the lecture, but don't write a summary of it. Insha-Allah, I hope to open another thread dedicated solely for that later. So post links to the bayans by our Ulama, e.g Mufti Taqi Usmani, Maulana Zulfiqar Ahmed (DB), Maulana Tariq Jameel, Shaykh Ahmed Ali and the likes. I think, what can be done is, let users be able to hear to talks by Shaykh Ahmad Ali and Shaykh Riyadul Haq and other shaykhs, but not allow users to download it, reason being, the talks are used to generate income for their blessed projects..up to you.

In the interests of unity, I'm not sure Mufti Muhammad ibn Adam al-Kawathari would publically air any concerns he has over Deobandis or Barelwis. I guess sometimes remaining silent is the best course of action. Allahu Alam.

Additionally, he does make some relevant points in his fatwa regarding Mawlid.

I agree, Shaykh Abdur Rahman ibn Yusuf would be brilliant :insh:. (And just on the side, Shaykh Yusuf will be conducting live online audio Fiqh classes from Imam al-Qudoori's Mukhtasar as part of the advanced Arabic grammer course on Shariah Program :insh:.)

Oh man...I was so caught up in everything when I met Mufti Muhammed that I never even thought of interviewing him. But it sure would have made for an interesting discussion. I did speak to him privately over (a delicious) dinner at his place.

Maybe Shaykh Yusuf in the future....we'll see Insha-Allah.

Just to let you know (this is mostly directed to those who live in Leicester, UK), Mufti Muhammad ibn Adam (Darul Iftaa) is now hosting the iftar programme from 4 pm till 4:30 pm on Ramadhan Radio (95.1 FM). Times changed as before he was hosting it between 5-6 pm. Tune in, his bayans are just brilliant masha-Allah. For the past week or so he talked about the five groups which scholars have categorised Islam into:

1 - Aqeedah (belief)
2 - Ibadah (worship)
3 - Mu'asharaat (social conduct, huquq al ibaad etc)
4 - Mu'amulaat (business, monetary dealings/transactions)
5 - Aklaaq (behaviour and conduct of a Muslim)

Alhamdulillah he went into quite a lot of detail in the latter three topics quoted above.

Now Insha-Allah he will be covering some other topics. Listen in as you will truly benefit from doing so, Insha-Allah.

Okay, so here's my first submission on this thread. :)

Jami`yyatul Ulama just uploaded a recent bayan by my Maulana (Khalifa and special khadim of Hazart Sheikh Maulana Zakariya RA; taught me Mishkat, Bukhari, and Muslim). He gave it recently while in Toronto.

He deals with 2 very basic issues: how do we define Allah and the Quran? We may be able to explain their effects, qualities, etc., but what is their actual definition? If someone were to ask us to give the definition of Allah and the Quran (as we believe in them), what would we say?

Some brothers/sisters with advanced knowledge of aqa'id probably know all this, but it's a great listen for the average person and was a good refresher for me as well.

www.musjidnoor.za.net has an impessive selection of lectures and zikr.Most of them are by the Imam of Masjid-e-Noor in Durban-Ml Yunus Patel. He is quite a respected scholar here and his talks are simple but powerful.His talks usually focus around Islaah(reformation of the soul) Really has an effect on the heart.His weekly majlis at the masjid is well attended fom far and wide.

There are some other lectures by other scolars,Id strongly suggest everyone listen to the one by Mufti Ismail Menck-5th one down. He is from Zimbabwe and an awesome speaker MashAllah.I havent heard this one but I am sure it will be just as great as all the others I have heard from him.He has spent 2 Ramadhaans here and the Taraweeh prayers where he used to recite where broadcast on CII (Channel Islam International).His tafseer after each taraweeh was mind blowing-MashAllah.Really inspired many to change for the better.

The set contains 17 CDs plus two bonus CDs (19 CDs in total). Just got my set yesterday, listened to three CDs so far, and masha-Allah it is like brilliant! So much to learn and benefit from! An absolute must to buy! Definitely recommend buying the set.

Also related, keep a look out for Al-Qurtuba Productions (http://www.alqurtuba.com), which will Insha-Allah be selling a lot of Shaykh Mufti Muhammad ibn Adam al-Kawthari's Audio Lectures.

Yes Shaykh Zaheer Mahmood is from Birmingham, a very powerful and inspirational speaker Masha-Allah. Correct me if this is not true, I heard he was in the same class as Shaykh Ahmad Ali and Shaykh Riyadh ul Haq during his student days in Darul Uloom Bury - there must've been a lot of Barakah in that class.

has anyone got any talks done by molana zaheer? i'm not sure if he's from leicester or birmingham. But he came to bradford and did a couple of great talks. The first time he did a talk in masjid noor-ul-islam about hadhrat Umar (RA), the second time he came he did a talk on the greatness of hadhrat Uthmaan (RA) that was done at Howard street mosque.

His talks are really inspirational, they are small, for those of us who are in a hurry, or without much time, and they contain practical, as well as spiritual nourishment for those who listen to him.

I totally agree. :subh:, Shaykh Husain's (db) talks have been extremely motivating, and literally an iman-saver. May Allah :taala: reward Shaykh (db) in abundance. Ameen.

I would recoment all the brothers to listen to tafseer of ayat-ul-jihad by masood azhar on www.geocities.com/truepath_islam/ . He is really good hanafi scholar. Also I would recomend brothers to listen to "babri masjid ki pukar" and "musalmano ki behisi".

This translation was done long ago when I was in school and I have not revised the transcript since then, so there are many mistakes. Most of the Arabic quotations might be wrong, so don't copy paste it anywhere else without correction.

Mufti Abdur Rahman Ibn Yusuf's lectures on Aqidah Tahawiya.
Aqidah Tahawiya is a short book but Imam Tahawi compiled it as the compilation of early islamic scholars beliefs. With out a commentary it is not fully understandable.
Abdur Rahman Ibn Yusuf is a contemporary Hanafi scholar.
