Who did Maulana Ilyas (rah), the founder of Tabligh Jamat have bayat with and was it in the Chishti or Naqshbandi Tariqah or both?

Hadhrat Moulana Ilyas Saheb first took bay'at on the hands of Hadhrat Moulana Rashid Ahmad Gangohi [ra] while he was a student. It was the general habit of Hadhrat Moulana Rashid Ahmad Gangohi [ra] not to grant bay'at to any student. The bay'at to Hadhrat Moulana Ilyas Saheb [ra] was an exception.
Hadhrat Moulana Ilyas Saheb took bay'at on the hands of Hadhrat Moulana Khalil Ahmad Saharanpuri [ra] after the demise of Hadhrat Moulana Rashid Ahmad Gangohi [ra]. Hadhrat Moulana Rashid Ahmad Gangohi [ra] was the Mureed of Haji Imdadullah Muhaajir Makki [ra]. He had permission in all four schools of Tasawwuf - Chistiyyah, Qadriyyah, Naqshabandiyya and Saharwardiyyah - from his second Shaykh Mianjee Noor Moammad [ra]. Hajee Imdadullah's [ra] first Shaykh was Moulana Nasiruddin Saheb [ra].
