Sisters Only Event

10am - 5pm
17th July 2005

Annually since 1998 the Islamic University, Jaamiatul Imaam Muhammad Zakaria, Bradford, UK, has organised easily the largest sisters’ only gathering in the UK entitled ‘Muslim Sisters Conference.’

Amongst the activities that take place during this conference are lectures by fully qualified and capable female scholars on a variety of important subjects. All lectures are given in English.

To get away from the hustle and bustle of our daily lives for a few hours and spend time in a purely Islamic environment is a great means of strengthening ones Imaan (belief), increasing ones knowledge and benefiting from the company of the pious. The conference is a unique opportunity for sisters to benefit from the intellectual input and spiritual guidance of female scholars.

Some of the topics covered during last year’s conference included:

Islam as a Civilisation
A Trip to the Land of Figs and Olives
Rights of Parents
Integration or Assimilation?
What Do You Follow?
Importance of Marriage

Jaamiatul Imaam Muhammad Zakaria, is an institution wherein Islamic education as well as secondary education is taught to sisters. The institution is situated at a serene location, aloof from the busy and congested environment we have to cope with daily.

As mentioned above, Islamic education as well as secondary education is taught to sisters at this institution. The Islamic education mentioned usually involves a five year course on Islamic theology wherein students are taught Tafseer of the Qur’aan, Hadeeth, Tajweed, Fiqh, and classical as well as modern Arabic. All of these lessons are conducted in a professional way by learned female scholars in a traditional but adaptable way, observing all requirements for hijaab as a priority.

Alhamdulillah , many of the sisters that have graduated from this institution have gone on to establish, around the UK, sisters only classes through which many sisters have greatly benefited. We wish for you to take partake of the many fruits of this great institution, and for you to get more involved in its activities, beginning with your attendance at the conference. Please note that:

- This conference is for females only.
- There is no admission charge.
- Lunch is provided free.
- Salah and wudhu facilities are available.
- Chairs are provided for older ladies.

There will be a number of stalls where you will be able to purchase a large variety of Islamic goods including audio lectures, books and clothing including hijabs .

Please come yourself and invite others for the Holy Prophet, may peace & blessings be upon him, said: ‘Whomsoever guides towards a goodness, will get virtues equal to the one who performs that goodness.’ [Muslim]

NOTE THAT THIS CONFERENCE IS FOR FEMALES ONLY

PLEASE ADHERE TO SHARIAH GUIDELINES WHILST TRAVELLING
