Salam Alaykum,

As per a number of sources on the Internet, Wafa Sultan was born into a Nusayri Shia family. If this is truly the case, should we Muslims not point this out and say that she was never a Muslim to begin with, rather than try to give explanations as to why she apostasized and how we Muslims would treat apostates, etc.?

I actually googled her she is from Syria :confused:

Sultan believes that "The trouble with Islam is deeply rooted in its teachings. Islam is not only a religion. Islam [is] also a political ideology that preaches violence and applies its agenda by force."[9] In a discussion with Ahmad bin Muhammad, she said "It was these teachings that distorted this terrorist and killed his humanity".[10]

Sultan stated that she was shocked into secularism by the 1979 atrocities committed by Islamic extremists of the Muslim Brotherhood against innocent Syrians, including the machine-gun assassination of her professor, Yusef al Yusef,[11] an ophthalmologist from the University of Aleppo, renowned beyond Syria, in front of her eyes, when she was a medical student. "They shot hundreds of bullets into him, shouting, 'God is great!' " she said. "At that point, I lost my trust in their god and began to question all our teachings. It was the turning point of my life, and it has led me to this present point. I had to leave. I had to look for another god."

She has gone through some serious trauma, I pray that no one's brains gets spilled in front of me; this leads me to ask ..are those who believe Islam and its commands must be implemented by force and those who view NonMuslims as subhumans , inferior etc to blame for turning people like her away from Islam??

She has had zero impact. She as much as admitted this in an article I read about her. She was lamenting how her US tour was met with empty halls wherever she went and even when she presented her arguments on how Islam did nothing for women, women were embracing Islam. I'm glad it gives her sleepless nights. For all her screeching and screaming (in fact she resembles a barking dog), no one's listening other than the usual culprits in the Islamophobic Zionist media.

They just don't seem to get it, that truth ALWAYS extinguises falsehood. ALWAYS.

Next!

The funniest thing is that she'll occasionally screw her story up and claim that she's still Muslim.

That's how it is with all these well known "apostates." Most of them are liars who are just taking advantage of anti-Muslims and Christians that don't know any better.

Just youtube "Ergun Caner," and let the hilarity ensue.

Sultan's account of some aspects of her life is disputed by others. According to Abdussalam Mohamed, staff writer for the Southern California Muslim newspaper InFocus, an anonymous Syrian expatriate who met and got to know the Sultans when they first came to the United States told him (Mohamed), that the assassination of Yusef al Yusef took place off-campus, and at a time when Sultan wasn't even around. InFocus says this was confirmed by Dr. Riyad Asfari, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine in Aleppo (Syria) and by another Syrian expatriate Ghada Moezzin, who attended the University of Aleppo in 1979 as a sophomore.

Oh yeah, and how is losing a professor relevant to leaving Islam? Surely you wouldn't judge the religion by someone who has no authority in the religion?

May Allah destroy the murtads...

One of the more arrogant qualities of atheists/agnostics who stop believing in Allah due to personal tragedies is that they think they are the only ones who ever lost a loved one and they are the only ones who ever had to see those whom they held dear to their hearts die painful, slow, or shocking deaths, as if the rest of humanity lives in a wonderland were everything goes their way.

People, Allah subhanAllah himself warns us of the dangers of coming across as 'harsh' Muslims..lest we repel people off the deen...so why are you guys denying this fact?

The point I was trying to make was that she most likely lied, as she is a scheming conartist.
