Assalam O Alaikum Br. Not Known,

The organic foods has to be Halal. Organic foods do not mean Halal because organic pork is also available in USA. Non Halal Organic Foods do not serve Muslims, yes if they are Halal then it will be good. There are many organic Halal foods in USA supermarkets. Organic foods are under USDA regulations, a organic food must made of 95% of organic ingredients and 5% non organic ingredients but it is still label as organic food by USDA. Some organic bakery products has to use chemicals such as baking soda(Sodium Bicarbonate) and baking powder because without these chemical leaveners bakery products can not be made. The other leavener is yeast and it can be organic.

i would say that this thread is VERY islamic. Allah commands to eat halal and also to eat good food.

the food that we are forced to eat today is not good at all. it is manipulated and processed and stored to such an extent that the nutrition that it is supposed to have is no longer there. it fills our stomach but the nutritional benefits are no longer there. we would gain more nutrition by eating half as much REAL organic food. beware of supermarket food that says organic. that is also rubbish. its just a marketing gimmick.

a lot of families in the UK take their kids to visit the motherland for a few weeks or a few months. usually they live and eat in their ancestoral village. when the kids return after just a few weeks you can notice a BIG difference in their wellbeing. they are healthier, stronger, even more mature. we have just not been made to live the way we are living today. it is slowly killing us.

I couldn't agree more, as i'm just in the middle of writing a piece about organic food and muslims. every one knows about halal food but little is known that we too have the responsibility in ensuring animals are treated fairly and we put in our stomachs what is good and pure ie: organic and natural food, as mentioned in the Quran.

inshallah ill post up my article once its finished.
