Salams forum, does any one know how long you have to consummate your marriage?, and is wearing a wedding ring allowed?

Salam-e-masnoon. I guess that it is for the husband and wife to decide when they want to consummate the marriage. For a woman, wearing gold rings/a ring at the time of her wedding and otherwise is allowed.
