Sinful Speech

[In the name of God]

STOP, Think before you speak!

Backbiting is saying something about
your brother/sister that they would
not like you to say. Backbiting is a
serious bad deed that one should try
not to commit. If you think about it,
there is no good reason to backbite
anoyone anyways. Because noone is
perfect in this worldly life. Everyone
makes mistakes. So if we must say
something about someone, let us
only say that which is good, or keep
silent. This is treating someone the
way we would like to be treated. How
would we like it, if our fellow brother
or sister only said the bad things we do,
our bad qualities, our mistakes to others?

We would not appreciate it.

Nevertheless, whoever does good, it is
better for themselfs. Whoever does
wrong, only hurts themselfs. The only
good speech is to instruct people to do
good. So let us all stop, and think before
we speak. Insha'Allah [God willing]

We Pray that Allah[God] Most High
will guide us all to that which is better
than this to right conduct. Ameen

We Pray that Allah[God] Most Merciful
will protect us from the consequences of
our bad deeds. Ameen

*Reminder, backbiting is done in
ones face, or behind there back.*

I wrote this today. I am wondering if
anyone can post the hadeeth that
speaks about backbiting here. Also
the Holy Qur'an ayaa that speaks about
backbiting here. I remember them, but
not word for word, and I do not have there
number for correct referance.
