Respect to the Law
As Ali (may Allah be pleased be with him), one of the Islam caliphates, was going Sıffen war he lost his armor. Then, he saw his armor on a Christian and wanted to take it,
“This armor belongs to me. Where did you find it?” asked Ali. But Christian denied and said “It belongs to me.”
“We shall solve our problem at the court.” Said Ali. They went to the court together. Judge of Kufa asked “Ali, Do you have any witness approving that it belongs to you?” Ali said “Yes, my son Hasan knows it”

Judge “Your sons witness can’t be accepted. Do you have any other witness?”
Ali “Yes, my slave Khanber.”
Judge again said his witness can’t be accepted, either. Then, asked “Do you have any other witness?”
After Ali’s answer judge said. “Oh Muslims leader. You couldn’t prove that it belonged to you. So the case was dismissed.” Then he said to the Christian “Ali couldn’t prove his claim. You can take it and go.”
Christian, initially, becomes happy. Then, hesitated listening his conscience’s voice and as going out returned and gave the armor to Ali and said “The first time I have witnessed that the law is practiced so perfectly. These are the rules of Allah. So please teach me Islam because such a fair religion can’t be null. I have understood that Islam is a true way. “He took Shadah then become Muslim in front of the Judge.
