This will be the sixth lecture in the series of Hujjatullah Al-Balighah. This month we will discuss the formation of fiqh in the realm of Islamic jurisprudence from the time of the Prophetic Companions to the time of the various schools of thought.
The main aim will be to highlight how we can set our differences aside and create true unity of Islam rather than differing and being divided. If you have missed any of the previous lectures on this topic you will not feel lost in this lecture.

Hujjatullah Al-Balighah is an invaluable piece of work which has been regarded to be a major contribution to Islam by scholars all across the world for the last 300 years. It was composed by the renowned scholar, Shah Waliullah Dalhawi (rh). The contents of this book demonstrate the high intuitive and intellectual capacity of Shah Waliyyulah who has encapsulated the Shariah and its values in a way that has not been preceded in the millennium of Islam before him. The book is not only a reference for inspirational thought but also provides practical solutions to a positive reform in one’s individual, domestic, social, spiritual and political life, Islamic psychology; civilisation and sociology, Sunan of Allah (ways Allah deals with individuals, societies and nations), the virtues and vices; principles of the Quran and the Sunnah, The reasons of dissention among the early scholars of Islam and the wisdom behind the commands of Allah swt.

*Mawlana Hafiz Hasan Ali who was taught in the traditional way is a young, up-and-coming scholar brought up in the UK. Since graduating from Dar-ul-Uloom in Dewsbury, he has served the Muslim community as Imam of the Islamic Cultural Society in North London and the Islamic Studies teacher at Yusuf Islam's Brondesbury College for Boys in London. Besides being someone who has memorised the Qur'an, he has completed an MA in Islamic Studies. He is a director for both Ebrahim Community College in East London and the Ni'mah Center in Leicester. This unique upbringing in the UK, combined with traditional Islamic knowledge and day-to-day interaction with Muslims in various fields makes him a unique lecturer. He focuses on real issues concerning the Ummah and is known for being out spoken where needed.
