Assalamu alaykum

Does anyone know where I could find an audio (or audio/video) recitation of the Shama'il of Imam al-Tirmidhi عليه رحمة الله ? This is for purposes of memorization. I would prefer if the sanad mentioned by Imam al-Tirmidhi was also recited, but if not that's fine as well.

I would record it for myself but it would most likely not come out well, as I often have to repeat the difficult words multiple times to get them right.

So, any help is appreciated. Thanks, Jazak Allah

Having something like this would definitely amazing. Someone should take the initiative and start recording it.

I have complete recordings of Sahihul Bukhari and Sahih Muslim, but not Shamail.

However, here is its sharh:

@ImamGhazzaali Yeah, I don't remember having seen it anywhere. I have listened to the lectures on it of Shaykh al-Yaqoubi; they aren't really presented in a manner that you could listen and memorize from, IMO.

@True Life Yes definitely... something along the lines of Qari Saad al-Ghamdi's recitation of the 'arba'in of Imam al-Nawawi عليه رحمة الله would be awesome! (Although that's professionally produced and the Shama'il is much longer than 40 ahadith :P )

@Al-Faruqi I am aware of Shaykh Abdul-Sattar's lectures on the Shama'il, but IIRC, he intersperses the English translation along with the Arabic when he is reading it. Also, I think again it's not really suited for memorization. Jazak Allah for the suggestion, though.

@verdana Jazak Allah for those; are they recitation of a sharh (I would guess not)? And which sharh? Or are they explanative lectures?

If these recordings do exist, insha Allah someone who comes along and sees this thread will be able to guide us.

Alhamdulillah, finally found it.

Audio + PDF. (http://qalifba.com/arabic/shamail.zip)

Here are the details:

الشمائل المحمدية

He is reading the text of hadith first, then goes back to mention the footnotes which are really useful short explanations of the difficult words.

@verdana Jazak Allahu khayra! Sounds good so far, I only listened to the first few ahadith, but it looks like it will be very helpful (if not as catchy as Ghamdi's 'arba'in lol). I think I will cut out the hashi and stuff and make one file for each bab or something like that... Jazak Allah again.

I'll be uploading any files I do get around to in this folder: http://www.mediafire.com/?b9wtw623cqw2t

So far I have only edited the first bab and uploaded it there (Ch01 Khalq.mp3)... keep in mind that he is reciting from one edition and the text has slight differences from many other editions. Also, even according to the edition the qari is using, I have noticed one or two slight errors in the recitation; so, just make sure that if you are memorizing it matches the text.
