ghusl post mentraution and changing clean bed covers?

Salam,

Ive heard from a sister that even bed covers need changing once menstruation has ended...even if they are perfectly clean and did not come into contact with any nijasa. The explanation given to me was that it is treated as wearing clean clothes whilst the period has ended...as they too need changing although they are clean but they were in contact with the body.

Is this true?

This is not true at all. The bed covers will be completely pure even after menstruation (providing it was not soiled by blood).
When we go to the toilet, what comes out of us is impure, that does not mean our clothes become impure.Similarly just because impure blood comes out of us does not make our clothes impure. (Providing nothing was soiled.)
