Azrail is more beautiful
Fatimah has just finished primary school. She has been wanting to be a hafizul Quran. Her mother has taken her to Quran school. Her mother “my daughter has heard something about hafizul Quran, she believes that they will wear a special crown in akhirah. I don’t know much about it. I’m just an illiterate woman.” We said “MashaAllah I wish everyone thought like you, mashaAllah your daughter has a great iman.”
Fatimah was a cute girl. Before she applied, she asked “Will you make a hafizul Quran? If you wont do so, I shall not apply” Subhanallah she had such a great iman in her small heart. We said “InshaAllah you will be a hafizul Quran. Don’t worry” So her mother left her to Quran course.
Fatimah was a hardworking student. Even in her dreams she was reading Quran. One day she came and asked “to be a hafizul Quran, do I have to learn by heart all Quran?” I said ofcourse. After hearing this reply she seemed sorrowful. She didn’t say anything then. One of my students asked “Fatimah’s mother said unless having ablution you cant touch hafizul Qurans, is it true?” It was an interesting question and I said Ottoman, our forefathers, would appreciates hafizul Qurans, cause of that they would say so.
Fatimah was becoming sick and staying in her bed. At last we took her to doctor. Doctor said “Im sorry, but she has cancer, she is gonna die soon.” I felt really bad. I didn’t know what to say to her. She was asking me how azrail (angel of death) was. I said “he looks beautiful to muslims." Then we called her mother and she came and took her from our course. We were talking on phone. She were saying “oh my teacher please don’t be angry with me cause I left the course. I wont be a hafizul Quran” I said to her, don’t worry you have wanted to be a hafizul Quran, Allah will reward you cause of that.
Soon after, one morning the phone rang; Famitah’s mother was crying “Fatimah has passed away. She was saying that Azrail looked more beautiful than it was said.” I couldn’t help crying. SubhanAllah she had such a great iman. May Allah put her into his paradise Amin!
