Is Burping considered passing gas?

The post title says it all. I've been wondering this for days and haven't found the time to find the answers on-line, until today.

Usually if I burp though I renew my ablution, just making sure about burping though.

it's important that you learn the rules of wudu/ghusl/prayer etc according to a madhhab!

Well, in the Maliki madhhab is it necessary to renew wudu after burping?

I am asking this question to all madhhabs as well.

in no sunni madhhab does gas from the stomach break wudu'!
[or you would see ppl leaving the salat after those loud belches.]

wudu' is only broken if anything comes out from the lower orifices -eg gas, urine, faeces, discharge or if you fall into deep sleep, because any of the former could have happened.

the above applies in all madhaahib with the hanafi madhhab adding bleeding and laughing in salat.

Quite, but it thought with out the alif that would make it ilaha. o, well my arabic is still developing.
