i have a few questions to be answered:

1) can the Jumu'ah Khutbah be shortened due to weather conditions? eg: temperature is above 40 degree celsius and more than half of musallees are outside the masjid because no place to accomodate them inside.

2) can the Imam lengthen his ruku to enable someone who entered masjid to join so that he doesnt lose his rakah?

3) can the Imam lengthen while in tashahhud to enable someone who entered masjid to join so that he doesnt lose his salah?

4) during khutbah it is not allowed to speak or even recite durood: a) in the break between the 2 khutbahs can one make dua? b) when Imam starts making dua at end of khutbah, can we say Ameen?

:ws:

The khutbah should be shorter than the salah. The imam can choose to make it shorter as long as he completes the requirements.

2) can the Imam lengthen his ruku to enable someone who entered masjid to join so that he doesnt lose his rakah?

3) can the Imam lengthen while in tashahhud to enable someone who entered masjid to join so that he doesnt lose his salah?

The imam is to be followed and should not become a follower. He should complete the actions as he is supposed to without waiting.

4) during khutbah it is not allowed to speak or even recite durood: a) in the break between the 2 khutbahs can one make dua? b) when Imam starts making dua at end of khutbah, can we say Ameen?

These can be made silently in one's mind.

All these are accepted for shafis. from question 4 it seems as if you joining a jummua in a shafi dominated area. in that cas even during the khutbah you may say salawaat or raise you hands in dua & say ameen vocaly.
