View Full Version : Changing the text directly under one's name?

I've noticed that we can't seem to do this on this forum, whereas i've noticed that in other forums that use the same software, one is able to do it.

Why is the change-text facility only available for Moderators?
And why do they change their 'Moderator' text to something else?
Shoudn't they keep it as 'Moderator' for uniformity and so that we know who is who?

Under each section in the forum there is a box labelled 'Moderators' where the list of moderators is viewable. And also in the drop down menu at the bottom of the page (where you log out from) there is the option of 'View Forum Leaders' (http://www.sunniforum.com/forum/showgroups.php?). Insha-Allah, you should be able to find out who the moderators are by the above.

Thing is, we currently have to moderate usernames, avatars, signatures, the post themselves, user "bad post" reports, control who gets access to the gender-only rooms as well as answer questions by email and PM. Allowing custom usertitles is just going to pile on the work even further if people write down inappropriate/against the rules messages there...

So for now, you'll stay as a "Senior Member" brother abd ;)

umm...the best i can do is to put something in tiny characters under your avatar, sorry senior citizen!

I remember a scheme from my ezBoard days, that once a member got to 500 posts they could choose a custom title. Maybe you could do that? Users can make the request through a moderator I agree it might take a bit of extra time, but there are enough mods on here to make it feasible, no? it seems like half the sisters-section are moderators!!
