My dear brothers and sisters in Islam , A salaam aleykum wa rahmatulahi wa barakatuh.

I have a very serious question about the following :

I converted to Islam 2 years ago. However before I became a Muslim, I've said some horrible things about the prophet (SAW) , horrible insults and stuff. But eventually , I became muslim myself (not because of marriage or conversion by someone) .

My question:

The moment I became a Muslim, were all my sins forgiven?Ik have read and heard that someone who becomes Muslim , is forgiven all that is happned before. But I've also read( on the internet) and heard ,that the one who insults Allah, gets forgiven when repenting for it...., but the one who insults his beloved ( Muhammad SAW ) , cannot be forgiven, and should be executed/killed in this world, even if he repents. They say that if the repentance was sincire, then it will be accepted on the day of judgement. They say that the prophet is the only one who can forgive me for insulting him,and since he is not among us anymore he can't forgive me...

I 'read this on the internet about a month ago.And I can't sleep properly anymore. My concience is bullying me all the time...when I read namaaz (salat),I feel like it's all for nothing , because Allah won't help my anyway, and the prophet turned is back on me for insulting him...
Am I going crazy ?Am I going to hell? How to repent? What to do...
What if I insulted the prophet , while not meaning it and deneying the comment in the heart?Whatever the anwser is , 1 thing is for sure : I didn't know that such a thing could be so disastrous...
Can I be forgiven in this world, and in this life?Or can I behave like a bad person since my good deeds don't count anymore and I'm doomed anyway?

Someone please anwser my question, because I don't know what to do anymore , since I read the above on the internet( they have refrences to hadith).
Please be honest, because i'd rather be hurt by the truth, than comforted by the lie.If I must go to hell, because of the above,I will have to accept it.

Ali

We are delighted to know about you accepting Islām. This is a great bounty of Allāh upon you. May Allāh Ta’āla further guide you and may He keep you steadfast. Amīn.

As for you question, there were many companions of the Prophet (SAW) who insulted the Prophet (SAW) and even tried to kill him or fight against him, before accepting Islam. Then they received guidance and accepted Islam.

Allah forgives all sins that a person may have committed before Islam, including insulting the Prophet (SAW). There is not need to worry at all. Try to find good muslim companions / scholars in your area and keep their company as much as possible. Also try read the Seerah (Biography) of the Prophet (SAW).

Thank u for replying brother,

I have good company, and I even have a Peer , but I can't ask them this question because i'm very ashamed. They will probably think i'm a very bad and mean person.Tha's why I choose to do it this way.

And brother, what if someone insults the prophet after becoming Muslim, but wants to start with a clean sheet, swearing never to do it again. Can you still be forgiven in this world,or isit out of the question.I'm not talking about a regular forgiveness, but something really serious, swearing never to do it again. Is forgiveness possible? Please coment.

:bism:
There were people who hated the Prophet SAW to the worst level but later they started loving him SAW so much to the level that they were ready to give up their lives for him SAW. This feel of guilt and repentance is indeed a great blessing and Allah Azzawajal has turned His special mercy towards the one who repents. Allahu alam

you were insulting the prophet and there was no one around to kill you?

why would you insult him (pbuh) anyway? he's an example to mankind. we should be grateful to allah he gave us such a great prophet.

Asalaam
Hes's a convert. the act was before he converted to Islam. He's changed and all of his sins have been forgiven, there is no use making him despondant as if he is still involved in this practice, he's a muslim brother who now loves Rasulullah.

The character of the prophet(pbuh) is pure and clean like a vast ocean. Throwing a fistful of mud into the ocean doesn't make it unclean. Subhanallah what a perfect example he gave us.

IF Abu Sufyan can become a muslim and his children/family even rule over all muslims you have nothing to worry about.
