help forgetfulness in salah

when i pray sunnah prayer in zuhr, if i forget to recite quran after fatiha and go into ruku, and then realise what is ruling? do i do another tasleem again? have i left out a wajib or fard?

As salaamu 'alaykum,

In the Hanafi school, to recite another surah, or three short verses, after the fatiha is wajib in the first two rak'at of fard prayers, and in all the rak'at of the witr prayer and voluntary prayers.

If a person forgetfully omits a wajib element of a prayer, it becomes necessary to perform the prostrations of forgetfulness.

If one deliberately omits a wajib element, he has sinned and must repeat the prayer.

So in your case, as it was done forgetfully, prostrations of forgetfulness would rectify it.
