Assalamualaikum, Recently I found out that the meat we get is from Koch foods, and they claim to be halal, but i contacted the company and was told that the meat was machine cut. I tried to tell my parents to get meat from another place but they wouldn't agree they said since the company claims its Zabiah then its Halal. My mother had told me to eat rice which contained the machine cut meat in it and I told her no because i didn't want to eat meat that had doubt in it, she got mad at. Did I do anything Wrong? Did I commit a sin by making her Mad?

Bismihee Ta'aala
Asalamualaikum.
Dear Brother,
First and foremost we have to respect our parents. However, if they tell us to do something haraam, then we aren't obligated to listen to them for that particular thing.
For example: If my parents tell me not to pray fardh salaah, I shouldn't listen to them because Allah (SWT)'s rights are more than my parents.
However, we have to be kind and gentle with our parents. No need to argue, yell or anything of that sort (not saying that you are doing any of those things). Now when it comes to meat, we know that it is haraam if it isn't hand slaughtered. So obviously you cannot eat that meat. By you not eating that meat, you are not sinning because you are obeying the commandments of Allah (SWT). Just let your parents say whatever they want without saying anything back. In the end just tell your mom that I can't eat the meat because Allah (SWT) commands us to eat only hand slaughtered meat.
I had this similar problem, but my mother and father changed because of me. I stopped eating whenever I visited them, and they couldn't bare not feeding me lol. Eventually my parents realized that it doesn't matter where they get meat from, and only got the meat from places where I would eat from. Now Alhumdulillah they only eat meat from those places also even when I'm not there.
The key is to stick your ground, but don't get upset. Let your parents say whatever they want, but don't ever say anything back to them.
In the end you have to obey Allah (SWT) before everyone else.
And Allah (SWT) knows best

Are you sure that all machine-cut meat is Haram? I get my meat from a store called Eastern, which is a Halal store, and I think they machine-cut it. Should I stop eating that meat?

This website says that, "The owners of this market are Muslim and have confirmed its halal status."
Should I trust them or investigate?
Because I've read that machine-slaughter does not always meet the requirements of a Halal Zabiha. The Tasmiya is not said on all the chickens, it is only recited when when the button is pushed and then thousands of chickens are slaughtered one by one.

You need to ask the store owners exactly how the meat is slaughtered. Machine slaughtered meat is not permissible and you cannot obey your parents in this matter. I recently told my family that I am going to reduce my meat consumption (although I did not mention that it was over doubts about the meat, in order to avoid causing fitnah). Now, if I know the meat is halal, I can eat it if I wish, and if I have doubts, I can refrain and nobody asks questions. They just assume I don't feel like eating meat.

You would be obligated to not listen to them and NOT eat the machine slaughtered meat/poultry.
Merely asking a store owner if their meat is hand slaughtered or not is not enough. One must inquire about the brand of chicken being sold. Once this information is found, contact the local 'ulema to see if it is machine or hand slaughtered. If they do not know, the network of 'ulema is far beyond our mental capacity and an answer will, inshAllah, be given promptly.
