Dear Brother
Salam.
If you are reading this, please forgive my ignorance and accept that I am not making a division among ummah.
Recently I have been forwarded with a literature from common friend who received a doc from Jubail Dawa and guidance centre, Saudi Arabia
regarding Witr prayer.Literature claimed that:
1. Witr is not Wajib prayer.
2. There is no sahih hadith about witr as Wajib prayer.
3. It is Sunnah muakkadah.
4. Except Imam Abu Hanifah (RA), other three school of thoughts have advised that Witr is not Wajib prayer.
5. There are many reference being made in the doc and being little knowledge in this topic, made me puzzled.

My Question is, If I make my intention to pray Witr as wajib, am I going against the Rasulullah SA(PBUH).

The doc also advised the way prayer should be performed, like:
1. Doa Kunut should be recited after ruku.
2. Complete two rakawat with salam then stand up for one rakawat.
3. Provided reference hadith, not to pray like magrib prayer (Continuous three rakawat)

What are the great books like Bukhari, Tirmidhi, muslim, Dawud says about the Witr payer hadith.

May allah guide us the right path and bless us all muslim ummah.

Best Regards

Abul Hasnat.
