Insha'Allah I hope this post finds everyone in the best of health and Imaan.

After months of hard work, sunniforum.com has finally opened, much to the relief of many I think! For those who are new to sunniforum.com, Insha'Allah please read this post as it Insha'Allah will explain a lot of the ideas and concepts behind sunniforum.com.

sunniforum.com is a collaborative project, with ulema and students alike, created ground up by mashwara (discussion) and on many occasions, Istikhara. The idea behind sunniforum.com was conceived seperately by two people, who, through the will of Allah swt, came together and decided to pool strengths. Allhamdullilah a team came together, mashwara and voting was done, and an ameer and vice ameer were chosen, as well as an excellent army of assistants and a shura. What you see today of sunniforum.com would not have been possible without the joint efforts of each and every single person who has been involved in sunniforum.com. May Allah swt shower all of you with infinite blessings, may He raise you in the highest ranks on Yaumal-deen, and may He grant you eternal happiness in Janatul-Firdaus. Ameen.

sunniforum.com has been created with the aim of being a resource for the propagation of authentic Islamic teachings, based upon the four great Imaams of Islam. Allhamdullilah we have a wide variety of talent in the shura of sunniforum.com, ranging from Muftis and Ulema, to mureeds actively interested in making a difference in the Ummah. sunniforum.com aims to fill a void in many of the already available Internet-based discussion forums. Allhamdullilah we have spent many months giving ideas and coming up with solutions to combat many of the problems we perceive Internet discussion forums to have.

Allah swt is the final judge of our efforts. There is nothing like proper ground-testing so-to-speak. We do expect problems to arise, we do expect unforeseen situations to occur. Insha'Allah we have a committed and great crew, and rather than being hindrances, we look forward to these events as signs on how to better manage sunniforum.com.

Many of the things you will see on sunniforum.com will be similar to other forums. However, other things will be very different. Perhaps the largest difference is the level of haya (modesty) and respect we wish to keep on the forums. As such, we have attempted to create sunniforum.com as segregated as possible, with the focus being on same-gender discussions. There are common-area forums, but these Insha'Allah will be heavily moderated and Insha'Allah haya will be kept.

sunniforum.com is not just a forum. Allhamdullilah we plan to add lots of original audio, textual, and perhaps video and other media content soon. Work on this has already begun. Insha'Allah keep an eye out in the future for exciting new content. Until the content is brought up, we have decided to release the forum and Insha'Allah start a base for discussion.

Insha'Allah please register and help sunniforum.com grow. Many changes and additions will be made over the coming months, and we ask you to pray for the success of sunniforum.com.

May Allah swt bless this project and make it means of learning and teaching authentic Islam. Ameen.

All praise is for Allah (SW), who made us conceive this idea in our minds, then, through His sheer Grace and Mercy, brought together 30+ likeminded brothers and sisters, thousands of kilometers apart, in various cities across the ocean, many who have never met each other, and enabled us to witness the day our humble ideas are finally realized.

Insha-Allah, this will prove to be just the very beginning of this humble project of ours, and we hope and pray that it will flourish into a resource and guidance center like no other on the Internet, and become a means of guidance for ourselves and for others around the world.

The amount of dicussions, planning, man-hours spent, and financial contributions (by the founding members, from their own pockets) that have been put into this project are truly remarkable. What makes it even more remarkable that much of this has taken place with others who we have only met and got to know online.

As surprising as it may sound, the ameer and vice-ameer have never met before, in person, either.

Nonethless, we hope that the sincerety of our actions and our trust in Allah (SW) will give this project the fuel needed to make it a glowing success.

This is a work-in-progress, and it is by no means perfect. We are all humans, and we will make mistakes along the way, but Insha-Allah we will learn from them, and we will try our utmost to follow the guidelines prescribed by Allah (SW) and His beloved Prophet Mohammad (SAW) in everything we do.

As such, any suggestions for possible improvements will always be much appreciated.

Last but not least, I'd like to personally thank each and every founding member for their relentless efforts in helping bring this project so far.

There is much more to come in the coming months, so please stay tuned!

I think it was just a few minutes where the server was overloaded... I experienced it too. Insha'allah working okay now...

..I seem to be having the same problem, Sister. I've hopped on my laptop, and it seems to be working fine from here. However, when I first entered the site, the bottom link to enter the forum, was not showing up. Insha'Allah the Admins/Mods will have it fixed A.S.A.P. if there is a problem.
