I was never very religious and neglected my religion .
Trying to get my life organized some of the problems I am facing .
What happens if one misses to give an amount of Zakat already calculated within the lunar
year because of shortage of cash amount ? What ever form it may be stock / gold etc .
Do he give it with the next cycle lunar years Zakat ?
Second scenario
What happens if you are not sure what your Zakat amount ( because you neglected it )
Was in the last few years but you repent and want to pay it this year with the due amount of this years Zakat .
Third Scenario
Wife wants the husband to give Zakat for the Gold Jewel in her possession .
She do not want to sell the jewels or has the means to pay for them herself.
What niyah should the Husband have in paying this zakat as it is not his to give ?
If the whole amount of Zakat mentioned above can not be given at one time can it be broken down through out the year?
Which obligation comes first giving the amount as Zakat for wife's gold possession as gift ( I am assuming ) OR giving the wifes 'mohrana' due to her ? Should they be separated and not mingled together ?
Fourth Scenario
Additionally if someone is doing a bank job is their Zakat even valid ? Or should they look for other sources of Income for paying their Zakat ? What if that Halal source of income can not be obtained in the near future ?
Do they forego their obligation of giving Zakat ?
Fifht Scenario
What kind of debt should be settled before you give Zakat . As one should give his debts and calculate Zakat afterwards . Debts from banks and bedts from individuals ( I am assuming the latter gets preference ) and do consumer loans from banks even count as debt under the definition of shariah?
One more question ... given the state in any of the above scenarios , Do not having paid your
Zakat obligations negate your Hajj undertaking ?
Sorry may be I have covered too broad of a spectrum .... could someone give answers on specific points please.
I will further try and engage in separate issues when replying .
