View Full Version : Abdel Aziz Bukhari and Bazdawi Hanafi affirm Face and Hand for Allah

salam aleikum

In Kashful Asrar of Abdel Azizi Bukhari Al Hanafi, sharh of Usul Bazsawi, in chapter of Haqeeqah and Majaz, Bazdawi and Bukhari reject Mu'tazilah's denial of Hand and Face for Allah.

Here are exctracts :

"And the same as Ithbat of Ruyah, Ithbat of His Wajh and Hand of Allah are true for us. Because of His Saying we make ihtiraz from the saying of the one who says that we do not describe Allah with Wajh and Yad, rather meaning for Wajh is Rida and Zat and similar to this, and meaning for Hand is Qudrah, Ni’mah and similar to this.

Then the shaykh ( Bazdawi) said : rather He is described with Sifat of Face and Hand with purification of Him from Surah Al Jariyah, because Face and Hand are sifat of Kamal in Shahid, as one without Face or Hand is considered as defective, and He is described with Sifat of Kamal, so He is described by these two also, except that Surah Jariyah ( of creation) is impossible for Him, as ithbat of Kayfiyah ( is impossible), so you make tashbih with His description. So It is wajib to make tasleem of it on I’tiqad Haqqiyah without turning from it with Taweel.

“ And it is not permitted to reject Asl” : It is not permissible ( for someone) to give hukm that Ruyah, Hand and Face are batil because of his ajz from understanding Wajh, Ay the Kayfiyah Mafiyah…when possibility of Ruyah and His description with Face and Hand is established with dalail Qat’iyah…

“ They rejected Usul” : It is possible that the meaning ( of words of Bazdawi) are “ they rejected Asl of ruyah, of Face and Hand because of their ignorance”…and it is possible that the meaning is “ they rejected Usul ay Sifat”.

They called themselves Ahle Tawhid and they made their Tawheed batil with their Tawheed…They became Mu’atilah.

We can see what these two great hanafi usuli say on people denying these Sifat to Allah. They have ruined their Tawhid

Also they denied Kayf for these Sifat and not meanings, as they said these meanings are meanings of Kamal, as in creation they are sifat of Kamal, and Allah has Sifat of Kamal

And this topic was in chapter of Haqeeqah and Majaz, so it means that these Sifat are haqeeqi, without asking how or linking them to creation

According to them taweel of these Sifat is not permissible as they are established with Qat'i daleel
