Assalaamu-Alaikum

Is it obligatory for the woman's feet to be covered during salaat or can the hem of her robe touch the feet and that is fine?? I have heard different things and would like some clarity.

And what is the position of the other madhabs on this issue.JazakAllah kyran

According to Hanafi fiqh the feet do not need to be covered for Salaat, according to Shafi'i fiqh they do. Not sure about other Madhhabs. Wallahu A'alum.

if her clothing covers the feet & it will remain covered in all postures then there is no need for a sock. rember the sock cannot be see through like a nylon stocking.
