Nikah for 2nd wife and how to go umrah with them?

A question for those in uk with 2nd wifes or nikahs which have not been registered. how do you go for umrah or hajj with your wife when you dont have the nikah certificate?

p.s. this is just about how you show that you are married and she is mahram for umrah, nothing to do with the permissibility of 2nd wife.

anyone? must be a common one, practically every maulana in bradford has more than one wife, what happens come hajj and umrah time? since they go nearly every year?

in uk second marriages are not allowed so the nikah is just a learned person conducting it without any real certificate? does a letter from an Alim, or institution confirming nikah, work fine for this?
