Assalamu alaikum,

im doing some research into deobandi aqeedah, and i came across some of quotes from some founding fathers of deoband. im sorry if these have been discussed before but i couldnt find a thread about it...

can someone shed light on the above statements...my goal is bettering my knowledge on deobandis, not to start a fight. i dont need to hear from brelvis, as knowledge about deobandis should come from deobandis. jazaks.

jazakallah for teh link. but only one of the above quotes were mentioned in the article. the only one mentioned is syed ahmed shahid.

what about the others?

bro you will end up nowhere they all false allegations and like i said stay away from those ppl making these claims and the pseudo-deobandi sufi berelwi lovers.

Recently i heard a answer from a brother regarding this he said lets look at this statement rationally.
he said 2 rakaats of nafl of the Prophet(saw) are worth more in the sight of Allah then all prayers of the ummah but you will get someone from the ummah who has prayed more salah then the Prophet(saw).
Because the Prophet(saw) lived for 23yrs after the revelation of Quran and he has done only 1 Hajj in hes life but you will get some people in the ummah who have done over 50 hajjs.
So this does not means that people in the ummah status is higher then the Prophet(saw)(nauthbillah) it just a statemet that some people in the ummah might as well done more worship then the Prophet(saw) but it does not make them higher in status then the Prophet(saw).

Sunniforum should delete the posts IMMEDIATLEY. These statements are digusting. How does sunniforum decide to edit other things but decides to leave statements like this. How would you like the Rasul Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam to see in the Day on Judge and turn his face away from you?

I cannot even read these.

This is truly digusting. Posters should be expelled for this behaviour. The silly excuse of "posting the statement only to clarify things about scholars" can be refuted by my 6 year old cousin. We could have just linked to ask-imam.com and thats it. No need to discuss things all over.
