Clarification regarding sacrifice for person going to Hajj

Insha Allah I am going to perform Hajj this year. I have heard that person performing Hajj should do two sacrifices one in Mecca and other in his hometown. In my opinion one sacrifice performed during Hajj is suffice.

Please advise on this matter.
