As salaamu alaykum.

Is there any restriction on WHEN a person can make up a missed prayer? In other words, must one make up a (long ago) missed isha prayer specifically during isha time, or could they make it up at any time?

Basically, this question is about someone who has A LOT of qadha salah in the past and is wondering if he can make them up at any time or if she must wait to do so during the time that corresponds to time of the Salah that he/she missed.

Anybody with the answer to this question or info about it, please do share.

[P.S. I am looking for the Hanafi position on the matter, which, although it should be obvious, is sometimes ignored by some posters.]

Jazakallahu Khair.

Wa'salaam.

Wa alaikumussalam wa rahmatULLAHI wa barakatuHU wa maghfiratuHU,

To the best of my meager knowledge, a person can make up a missed prayer at any time of the day excepting the times when it is not permissible to offer even the regular prayers such as the times of sunrise, zawaal and sunset.

JazakumULLAH Khair,
Wassalam ma'al-ikram

Respected sister,

Could you point me in the direction of some references for this view?

Assalamu Alaikum wa rahmatULLAHI wa barakatuHU wa maghfiratuHU,

This should suffice for now, I guess:
