A work colleague told me that next Tuesday (18th Oct) is designated as the national day of fasting where Muslims are supposed to encourage non-muslims to fast: does anyone know of a link to any organisations endorsing this?
Inshallah I plan to ask a few of my colleagues to fast with a couple of us next week, probably not on Tuesday, but I'm sure that won't matter!
Any tips on how to approach this, including introductory explanations about the purposes of fasting, would be greatly appreciated.
