A Brief Salah Manual (http://www.deoband.org/2012/08/recommended-reads/a-brief-salah-manual/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=a-brief-salah-manual)
An urban legend oft promoted by the Salafis is the idea that the Hanafi madhhab is not based on Quran and Sunnah. This is a myth that has gained momentum in recent decades with lay people lengthening their tongues in criticising the madhhab, its imams and adherents. However, a basic review of Hanafi fiqh manuals firmly establishes the contrary. In this short and well-researched primer on the Hanafi method of performing Salah, Mufti Muhammad Sajjad shatters the above myth. The author takes the reader on a step-by-step guide through the prayer and, at each juncture, presents proofs from the Quran and Sunnah. Female Hanafis visiting the cities of Makkah and Madinah while on Hajj and Umrah often tell stories of being accosted by local women who tell them their mode of Salah is not according to the way fo the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace). The reality, however, is different. While outlining the major differences between the Salah of men and women, Mufti Sajjad also presents numerous Hadiths supporting the Hanafi view. The book ends with an appendix that contains some invaluable advice on common mistakes in Salah. All in all, this is a recommended read more » (http://www.deoband.org/2012/08/recommended-reads/a-brief-salah-manual/#more-')
