I have seen a website www.studyislam.com, which is world's first internet based islamic university. You can register here and enroll in several courses and learn islamic courses from your home. You just need a computer and good internet connection. They provide live lectures on internet. Just wanted to share it with those who are striving for gaining islamic knowledge.

If they are not teaching you to make taqlid of the one of the 4 schools of fiqh, I would stay clear of such initiatives.

After viewing some content, it looks like a salafi influenced outlet to me.
