As a Muslim, many of us would love to dream Muhammad Mustafa (s.a.w), and we say we love him a lot, but we don’t really make any effort to dream him. We, mainly, don’t practice many Sunnah of this beloved person. I would like to share a story with you. InshaAllah we can get some lessons from this story. May Allah grant us Jannah! Amin
In Ottoman Empire period, there was such a great poet called Nabi. He was such a great poet in his time. One of the Ottoman Sultans asked if he had any wishes from him. Nabi said he wanted to visit Makkah and Madinah, he had such a deep love for those holy lands, and then he joined the ottoman group going to there.
At that time, people would go there by camels. After a long journey, they were about to arrive in Madinah. They wanted to go in Madinah in fajr time, so they decided to take a rest, but Nabi had such a great love for Rasulullah (s.a.w). He couldn’t even sleep. When he looked his around, he saw people who were sleeping. He didn’t feel comfortable. He wanted to wake people up. He wanted to make people wake up with a Naat for Rasulullah (s.a.w). He wrote a great Naat there. It was;
Beware of immodesty! Here where Allah's Beloved is!
To where the Divine look is directed; Maqam al-Mustafa this is!
Then people got up, they got ready to go in Madinah. As they were going in Madinah, They have heard the Naat by Nabi. Everybody surprised, they asked Nabi, “Oh Nabi, how do they know it? “ Nabi said “I really don’t know” Nabi was puzzled, too. They immediately find the Muezzin of Masjidi Nabawi. They asked “What were you saying before Adhan?” Muezzin didn’t want to say initially, but Nabi said “I just wrote them before coming here, I didn’t even meet you before, let alone saying you this Naat. How do you know it? Muezzin asked “Is your name is Nabi?” Nabi said yes and then Muezzin said he dreamed Rasulullah (s.a.w) and Rasulullah said “Someone called Nabi from my ummah is coming to visit me from Istanbul. Welcome him with these beautiful verses.”
May Allah Grant us such a deep love for Rasulullah (s.a.w). Amin!
