Dear Brother(s)
Assalam U Aalaikum
Quiet recently i have joined this forum and i wanted to request you all to kindly read Mufti Taqi Uthamni's book called "HUMARA TA'ALEEMI NIZAM' (Our Education System). It is a must read book for all who know Urdu as I dont know if it has been translated in english.
It is a very small book of around 135 pages and is very beautifully written in an easy to understand language. The book is a sequel of Mufti Taqi Uthamni Sahab's writing on various topics concerning issues of today like:
1. Nifaz e Shariat Aur Us Ka Massail
2. Islam Aur Siasat e Hazra
3. Islam Aur Jidat Pasandi (English: Islam & Modernization)
4. Humara Ma'ashi Nizam
5. Humara Ta'aleemi Nizam
6. Fard Ki Islah
7. Seerat Tayyab'ah
8. Others....
The reason for recommending this book at this forum is because most of the member posts on Islamic Education Forum usually revolve around Dars e Nizami and Religious Education in various parts of the world. This book gives a comprehensive view and outline of religious education in the Indian Sub Continent (Dars e Nizami) and the Religious Education Setup prevlaent in the Indian Sub Continent. How the Dars e Nizami came into existence and the core books and the details of the topics taught in this course.
What is really wonderful about this book is that it has challenged and exposed the lies of the secular education that most of us undergo. The main aim of secular education is to redirect thoughts of students to irreligious and materialistic philosphy from the start. It gives recommendations both at secular education and islamic education level to bridge the seemingly growing gap between the two.
The book is divided into two parts:
The first part deals with the existing secular setup in light of our Prophet Muhammad Salal Lahu Aalaihi Wassalam's Teachings while the second part dwells on the religious education setup. The scope of recommendations made by the author are not restricted to Pakistan or India iteself but can be applied anywhere in world.
THe book is easily available from large bookstores in pakistan and for foreign readers it is available at online ordering at www.albalagh.net,.
At the moment as far as i know it is in Urdu if anyone knows about the English translation please let us all know. It will attract a wider audience.
Wassalam
