  1. Against the Odds

    Against the Odds

The waves rage against the sea shore before moving back once more
In their leave is left a lonely snail pushed onto the sand
Forced unto a place where it wishes not to be
What can it do but languor and stay on the sandy shore to die?
No! It burrows itself into the sand away from the raging waves
And once more slides on its way home

Do you see the salmon swim, the water shining on their glistening backs?

  2. Turtles and Fish

The other day another epiphany struck me, when one of my friend mentioned that if a fish cannot live without water, how can a Muslim live without the love of Allah? It was a nice metaphor and it made sense at first, but it got me thinking, are we really like fish?

  5. Re-evaluate Yourself

Sometimes things happen (maybe not to oneself but to another person) that just makes you stop and re-evaluate yourself and your life, take into account the people you know, the things you do… I suppose the point has been got. Such a thing happened to me today, and since then I have been in thought.

I keep thinking about two things:

    1. The things we take for granted.
    2. The fact that no matter how much we choose to rely upon people in this ...
