Sukoon-e-dil (Tranquility of the heart) is a lost treasure. Allah ta’ala sent it only for the Believers, the Ahl-e-Taqwa (The people of piety). With Taqwa (piety/fear of Allah ta’ala) one attains sukoon-e-dil.

The whole world is like the garden with beautiful flowers but there are thorns so go through the garden as no one is stopping you, however be cautious. Look carefully so that the thorns do not entangle you. You cannot trust those thorns

In the Qur’an, Allah ta’ala says,

وَإِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ فَارْغَب فَإِذَا فَرَغْتَ فَانصَبْ
“Fa ithaa farghta ...

The owner of a slave asked him, “What will you wear?”
The slave’s reply was, “Whatever you allow me to wear”.

The owner asked, “What will you eat?”
The reply was, “Whatever you feed me”

The owner asked, “Where will you sleep?”
The reply was, “Wherever you tell me to sleep.”

At this the owner asked, “Do you not have any choice of your own?”
The reply was, “If I had, would I be a slave?”

This Qur’anic verse is a command for the Believers. Of the three things mentioned therein, the first is that it addresses the Believers. Secondly the Believers are commanded to fear Allah subhaanahu wata’ala i.e. to adopt Taqwa and finally to adopt the company of the Saadiqeen, the Truthful.
