    Before you do any task think why you're doing it.

    "I am (insert task here) because it is the hukum (commandment) of Allah swt." Or in some cases, "I am not doing this task because Allah swt commands not to do it."

    Let us see a couple of examples of how this works:

    "I am going to eat because it is a commandment of Allah swt."

    "I am doing this service to my parents because it is a commandment of Allah swt." ...

    Understanding Milkiyat - A Result of Faqr

    I have heard many many times that our problem is simply the issue of milkiyat, ownership. We claim to be owner and on the other end Allah swt claims to be the owner. We say, "Mine!" And Allah swt says, "Mine!" When we stop saying "mine" and start saying "Thine" or "Yours" then our issues will be solved.
