    2. A man who is wronged does not bear it patiently except that Allah increases him greatly in his honor..

The translation was done to keep the wordings of the hadeeth in order.

When anyone is wronged (oppressed) and he/she makes sabr (patience), then (because of this sabr, the only outcome is that) Allah will increase his rank and honor.

The word of hadeeth is Zulm. Zulm means oppression.

Will we feel our honor/rank in this world?

Wa alaikumus salam wa rahmatULLAHI wa barakatuHU mufti sahab,

    I have got a question:
What if someone deprives you of something, basing their decision on their hikmah, and in that, they might not be trying to wrong you ( according to them ) but you think they have wronged you somehow, and then you, kind of, accept their decision and you do not make any attempts as such to explain to them your position on the matter, but after sometime, you clarifiy your stance to people superior to the person who, you think , wronged you, not meaning to slander them or anything? Does this mean you havent done sabr?

    JazakumULLAH Khair,
    Wassalam ma'l-ikram

I am sorry I have not seen these comments in ages. In the above scenario, the person should resingn the matter to Allah, and not discuss about it any more. InshAllah we hope from Allah's mercy to give him from His palaces too.
