7 years waiting

The last time I went 3 days in jamaat was December of 2003. Yesterday alhamdulillah again I left in path of Allah swt, granted only for short 3 days, but after a 7 year hiatus.
My friends were shocked and surprised that I went on jamaat - "Fusus what are you doing tonight?" "Uhh I'm on jamaat bro." "What?? Jamaat? YOU?? WHY?!?" This was the general reaction.
We have to do work of dawat tabligh. Its a good work, a haq work. We have to take part in this work; it is in our benefit. The virtues of this noble work are too many to discuss here.
But now I must go. We are sleeping till 930am, then breakfast then ta'leem. I was chosen for bayaan but excused myself citing not knowing 6 points. So currently I have no responsibility. Everyone is sleeping. Apparently I am on jamaat with lions because these guys just don't snore they roar! These guys are typical jamatis, they look after other before themselves. They serve others first and then take the leftovers. No selfishness, totally selfless people. Our amir has spent 4 months in Pakistan and 40 days every year. Actually there is no amir or you can say we have 2 amirs - out of humility they can't decide who is amir. Neither one wants to be amir. So I said, "You are amir and he is vice amir problem solved." This didn't work so I offered to flip a coin for them to decide who is amir.
I slept I think 3 hours last night. But I am fresh and awake; the lions are back to sleep. I am on jamaat with some great people. I am very excited I got this group. After Fajr a local big scholar gave bayaan/dars, excellent dars. I loved it. It seemed to me like a tasawwuf dars. He jumped from topic to topic, story to story, I tried to chase the concepts but there was no connection or little connection. It was very good.
Then we did mashora (consultation). I am definitely the jamaat comedian cracking lots of jokes; keeping things light. The jamaat responds well; its an easy crowd.
Ok I need to get to sleep or do something. After Zuhr we have tons of people to meet. Seems we will do meetings until Asr salaat. Ok I am gone, time for tasbihaat till breakfast I guess.
One thing I really liked: at tahajjud time the elder white beards slept (and they do deserve their rest, they have done a lot of work mashaAllah), while the young black beards were up in dua, in sajdah, crying before Allah swt. It was refreshing and very encouraging to see. I am very hopeful if we have youth like this in America waking for tahajjud and crying for the Ummah. It makes me very hopeful. Work of dawat tabligh is amazing! I missed it. Please try to go out 3 days every month - you won't regret! It is what YOU make it.
I am thinking to change my whole life simply from this one night so far. I have been waiting 7 years for this.
Ok I'm gone to sleep now. With a'fiyat fadhl and karam, ameen.
