Imagine being enclosed in a strong lighthouse in the middle of the sea. It is made of glass so you can see the winds raging all around you and the waves crashing against it. Imagine watching this scene snuggled up in a deep sofa, with a hot mug of tea or coffee in your hands feeling warm and safe. The winds continue raging and the waves get higher and lightening streaks across the sky as the storm begins brewing, yet your heart feels no fear since you know that you are safe in the strong lighthouse.

So it is for one who has a strong connection with Allah subhaanahu wata'ala. Many such people are beseeched by calamities so much so that they come out of one situation only to be faced with another one. Onlookers would think they must be drowning in grief however in reality it is not so. Their connection with their Lord is such that the grief is present, the pain is felt but their hearts are at peace as Allah is with those who remain patient and steadfast!
