The Forgotten Banana

Rate this Entry
I just ate a banana. This banana belonged to someone else yesterday, they took two bananas but left one to me. I forgot to eat it yesterday and found it in the same place today. Several people passed by where this banana was, no one touched it, no one threw it in the garbage, they left it. I showed up today and I saw the banana in the same place it was yesterday. I ate it. This banana came from Mexico. There is an entire world that came into existence behind this banana getting into my hands, first going into that other persons hands and then coming into my hands. There is an entire system in place in order to bring this banana into my hands. Someone somewhere had gotten the idea to grow bananas. So they bought a piece of land, the land had to be provided. Then the banana seed had to be provided. They took the seed and planted it. Then the Sun had to give it proper sunlight, not a degree warmer, not a degree cooler. If it was too warm the banana would not grow properly. If it was too cold the banana would not grow properly. The sky had to give it proper water, not too much not too less. Someone had to come and watch over this banana and then when it was ready to pick this banana. Someone had to pack it. Someone had to insure proper handling of this banana. Then it came in the market. Someone went out and bought it. Then it came to this place and someone here had to put it in a proper place. Then someone ordered this banana. Then that someone decided that they didnt want to eat this banana and so they offered it to me. I got too busy and forgot to eat it yesterday and left it on the table at work. Since then many people crossed by this banana, no one picked it up. No one ate it no one tossed it in the garbage. I came in today and found it exactly in the same place it was, and then I remembered that I had forgotten to eat this banana. Then I peeled it off and ate it. Wah, what an amazing system Allah swt has.

As this fruit was already written in ur fate so no one was touching it..and it reminds me of this phrase which is very common in indo-pak community..

["on every grain is written the name of the person who will eat it."]

the Moral of the article i can guess it.. the event was already predestined and it will occur no matter what.. and it will not change and no one can change it...

One moral that comes right away to mind.
Allah (SWT) has such an elaborate system to provide us with our rizk that your head feels giddy.
It is surprising that some people think that they deserve it or that it is just there.
And Allah (SWT) knows the best.

Nameuser sees how Allah swt has set up the system of destiny and how much qudrat He has over it.

Maripat sees how elaborate and perfect the system of providing sustenance has been set up and run by Allah swt and then relates it to islah and how we should humble ourselves that we do not even possess the power to bring food on our own table.

As many breaths there are in the world thats how many ways there are to Allah swt.

SubhanAllah... I was thinking of something similar about tomatoes recently.

Time to donate some bananas to those who can't afford to forget they are there; those who can not neglect the niyamah from Allah (SWT) to the point where you either have to bake banana bread with it or feed it to the worms; those who hunger has disciplined and can not fathom throwing it out simply because they are full or no longer want it.

SubhanAllah. JazakAllah khayran for the reminder.
