Ya Rabbi, salaam ho us par jis ney zakham kah kar phool barsa-aye.

'O my Rabb, may Your peace and blessings be upon him who was beaten and bruised but spread flowers in return.'

In the poem he says, "Even if people throw shoes at you, you give them fruits in return O Faqeer annihilate yourself."

This is a very high quality to have in oneself, to take insults and hits from people but return with fruits and benefits - its an amazing quality.

Huzoor salallahu alayhi wa sallam once saw a very old woman carrying a heavy load on her head. He offered to take and drop it off for her. She was so happy that she wanted to give him something but she had nothing to give. So along the way she gave him some advice. She said, "Listen my boy there is a man in our city, Mohammed, who is speaking crazy things, he wants to turn us away from our gods and the religion of our forefathers, he is crazy don't listen to him." She went on and listed a bunch of bad words about the Prophet salallahu alayhi wa sallam. When they reached her door and her stuff was put inside she stopped the Prophet and inquired about his name. He said, "I am the same Mohammed you were talking about." The lady was so overtaken by the incredible selflessness that she accepted Islam.
