I had once heard in a bayan a hadith something to the effect of, that Hadrat Aisha :anha: narrated that even if 100 people had eaten together, she would be able to spot the Prophet's :saw: plate out of all of their plates because his :saw: plate would be the cleanest (due to him having cleaned it so well with his fingers etc).

I am looking for that specific hadith, and other similar ahadith, which show not only that he :saw: said to wipe your plate clean, but also how well he :saw: used to wipe his plate clean.

:jazak: for your help.

Justice would be served.
Law and order would exist.
Everyone would be kind and generous to each other.
We would all fast in Ramadan together, go to Hajj Pilgrimage together and look after one another.
Prayer would occur 5 times a day everywhere in the world.
We would only worship God and no idols and not multiple gods.

Why do people not see the beauty of Islam?

Islam is not a religion. It is a way of life, no?

Why don't everybody come to Islam? Why are there people out there claiming it is a false religion when they have never read the Quran to see what it actually says and stop blindly following the media?

As muslims, don't we want the whole of mankind to come to heaven with us and follow the true path to God?

Assalamalaikum,
Nice that law of Hijrat is being studied and implemented by the UNHCR, which is very relevant to refugees and asylum seekers all oer the world. This is a fitting response to the rabid neo-conservative war-mongering that is being indoctrinated in the US army. Study the humane teachings of the Prophet (PBUH), his life and the Quran before saying anything against it. Yet another teaching of Islam applicable to the whole mankind as taught by the Qur'an and the Holy Prophet (PBUH).

UN Urges To Follow Hijrat Law For Refugees
Wednesday, 16 May 2012
Ashgabat , May 16:

Citing Hijrat and parallels between Islamic teachings and laws on refugees protection, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees has called on Muslim countries to enshrine long-standing Islamic principles in their treatment of refugees, Central Asia Online reported.

"Islamic law and traditions embrace the principle of providing protection to those who seek asylum," Antonio Guterres told delegates representing the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), NGOs and international organizations at a conference earlier this week in Turkmenistan.

"It also forbids the forced return of those asylum seekers. Both of these principles are cornerstones of international refugee law."

Muslim World Hosts the Largest Number of Refugees

Hosted by the government of Turkmenistan in the capital Ashgabat, the two-day conference, “Refugees in the Muslim World”, was the first ministerial meeting to deal with the issue of refugees in the Muslim world.

The meeting followed a UN report that found that the Muslim world hosts 17 million refugees, including, making up approximately 52 percent of those of concern to the UN refugee agency.

The number includes refugees, asylum-seekers, returnees, internally displaced people and the stateless.

This figure does not include the Palestinian refugees, who fall within the specific mandate given by the United Nations General Assembly to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA).

Recognizing the connection between Islamic teachings and international refugee law, UNHCR has collaborated with Islamic scholars to prepare the second edition of a book entitled, "The Right to Asylum in Islam and Contemporary International Refugee Law."

Humanitarian Role

Highlighting responsibility of UNHCR towards refugees, the conference focused on the role of the OIC member-states in assisting protracted situation of the refugee population.

"Just as Afghanistan, Iran and Pakistan are forging a common vision and approach, there are other opportunities for a structured dialogue to promote solutions in other protracted refugee situations in the Muslim world," Guterres said.

A UNHCR report published last year found that the total number of refugees, asylum seekers and displaced persons has risen to its highest for 15 years, reaching nearly 44 million people in 2010.

The number includes 15.4 million refugees who fled across borders and 27.5 million uprooted within their own homelands.

Another 850,000 are asylum seekers who lodged claims with nearly fifth of this number filing requests to South Africa.

The report pointed out that 80% of refugees are born by poor countries.

On the top of these countries come Pakistan, Iran and Syria with each hosting 1.9 million, 1.1 million and 1 million refugees respectively.

Asia is home to some 4 million refugees, followed by 2.1 million in Africa, while there are nearly 7 million in the Middle East and North Africa and 800,000 in the Americas.

Afghans make up the largest number of refugees at three million, followed by Iraqis (1.6 million), Somalis (770,200), along with people from the Democratic Republic of Congo (476,000) and Myanmar (415,700).

Kuwait passes anti-Blasphemy law, Only the Shia are enraged.

All of the Rafidi Shia voted against a blasphemy law presumably since it would remove their 'constitutional' right to curse the sahaabah (ra) and accuse the mothers of the believers (ra) of fahshaa and adultery.

See image here

Kuwait's parliament on Thursday passed a bill stipulating the death penalty for Muslims who curse God, the Muslim holy book, all prophets and the wives of Islam's Prophet Mohammed.

Forty MPs, including cabinet ministers, voted for the bill in the second and final round of voting, against six opponents who included all five Shiite MPs present and liberal MP Mohammad al-Sager.

The bill introduces two new articles to the Gulf state's penal code specifically to stiffen penalties for such offences. Non-Muslims who commit the same offence face a jail term of not less than 10 years, according to the bill.

Defendants who repent in court will be spared capital punishment but will get a jail sentence for five years and a fine of $36,000 or one of them, while repentance by those who repeat the crime is not acceptable, the bill says.

"We do not want to execute people with opinions or thought because Islam respects these people... But we need this legislation because incidents of cursing God have increased. We need to deter them," opposition MP Ali al-Deqbasi said during the debate.

The bill becomes effective after the government accepts it, the emir signs it and it is published in the official gazette within one month.

Minister of Justice and Islamic Affairs Jamal Shehab told reporters after the vote that the government will accept and implement the law.

Shiite MPs also demanded that the bill impose the death penalty on anyone who curses their sect's 12 revered Imams, but the Sunni-dominated parliament rejected their request.

Shiite MP Abdulhameed Dashti said the bill breaches the Kuwaiti constitution and the principles of Islam.

"Why are we trying to show Islam as a religion of death and blood when it is actually the opposite of that," Dashti said.

The move to stiffen penalties for religious crimes came after authorities in March arrested a Shiite tweeter for allegedly cursing the Prophet Mohammed, his wife and some companions.

The suspect, Hamad al-Naqi, is being detained pending trial later this month.

Kuwaiti courts have in the past several months jailed activists from both sects over religious offenses.

Sectarian tensions have flared in Kuwait between the Sunni majority and Shiites, who form about a third of the native population of 1.17 million, reflecting rising regional tensions between the two Islamic sects.

There are people in my social circle (both family members and friends) who for some time have been frequenting the company of ulama'-reviling modernists and outspoken hadith-rejectors, at times even inviting them to their homes for iftar and other religious and social gatherings. Their justification is that these people are "good at heart", though admittedly misled. "Hate the sin, not the sinner" seems to be the attitude across the board. It is not essential to avoid interacting with them even if they are apostates, they say, since we live in a society where the shari'a has no say. Please help me refute this indifference. Is there literature available online that deals with the subject matter?

I've heard from a number of sources down the years that we must give dawa verbally to all the non-muslims we meet (especially the ones that we meet on a daily basis) because if we don't we will get asked by these same non-muslims on the day of judgement that, "why didn't you ever give me dawa or invite me to Islam? It would have saved me from this punishment!!" etc.
Is the above judgement day scenario from an authentic source or just something made up to get ppl to "give verbal dawa"?
