This thread is purely for intellectual curiosity since I am a Shafi'i myself. Hopefully, curiosity will not kill the cat this time.

When it comes to teaching these books (or their commentaries), are the Hanafis a bit divided as to which one is better? E.g. I recently read Sh. Akram Nadwi's book on Imam Abu Hanifa and in that he clearly mentions his preference for Badaa'i as-sanaa'i given that it's more authentic.

So do Nadwatul 'Ulama (and other institutions) prefer this over Hidaayah?

I want to study in Madinah University InshaAllah but am still in the progess of completing my GCSE's. In addition, you may know that the results for selections is recieved usually in Ramadhan.
After completing my GCSE's,, the waiting period will roughly a year before my results in Ramadhan. What should I do, should I go to Ebrahim College for 4 years or Jammiatul Ummah for 2 years?
After recieving completing Ebrahim College (4 years), I will only have 1 shot for application with GCSE's and 2 or 3 shots with A Levels? Or should I remain in a State Sixth Form/College and study as a backup option in case I not accepted into Madinah University?
Or should I leave Madinah University and instead go to Darul Uloom in Bury or Dewsbury or even Pakistan.
Please help
