Salamu3alaikum wa ra7matullahi wabarakatu -- ahlal wa sahlan bikum jamee3an
I have found something interesting in Tafseer Al Qummi speaking about Abu bakr and Rasul in the kahf(cave)...And I'm wondering whether this is shirk or not.
I'll post the Screenshot of it from which I highlighted the ayat and the main words. This is a shia tafseer, not a sunni one.

If you do not aid the Prophet - Allah has already aided him when those who disbelieved had driven him out [of Makkah] as one of two, when they were in the cave and he said to his companion[Abu bakr], "Do not grieve; indeed Allah is with us." And Allah sent down his tranquility upon him[Abu bakr] and supported him with angels you did not see and made the word of those who disbelieved the lowest, while the word of Allah - that is the highest. And Allah is exalted in Might and Wise.
Source: Surah al Tawba: 9:40
Qumi in his tafsir, “Tafsir Qumi” narrates from Abi Abdullah:
“When the prophet (sws) was in the cave, he (sws) said to Abu Bakr(ra), “I see the ship of jaffar in the river with his companions. And likewise i see the ansar. Abubakr (ra) asked can i also see? The prophet (sws) said, “Yes”. Abubakr asked how? The prophet did masah with his hands on abubakr’s eyes. Thus, abubakr saw what the prophet saw. Then, the prophet turned to abubakr and said, “You are siddique.”Source: Tafsir Qumi, 1/289-290

So in this tafseer it says that abu bakr could see what the prophet saw...Is this shirk...? IS a sahabi allowed to see what a prophet can see or am I just over thinking it...And in the same tafseer it says The prophet called Abu bakr As Siddeeq...!! Allahu akbar.

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu.
In sha Allah ta'ala you all find yourselves in the best of health and Emaan.

I'm a 16 year old revert sister and I've been trying to learn to read the Qur'an for a while now.
I have a Noorani Qaida and a few books but I am hesitant to teach myself as I don't want to learn things incorrectly.

I was wondering if there are any online Qur'an lessons that would be affordable for me.
I don't work and my parents are Non-Muslims and definitely NOT willing to invest in my Islamic studies.
I'm trying to learn to read Qur'an and then I'd like to learn on to memorizing and Tajweed, my goal being to do an Alimiyah course one day in sha Allah.

If also there are any such lessons in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada for a cheap price then please do share.
I have yet to find any revert programs that would be able to aide me in furthering my studies.

JazakumAllahu Khairan. :)

Salaam,

I'm looking to read the Quran in an English translation. I gather this is best done by reading a Tafseer rather than just a translation? Is this the best way to understand it?

Which Quran Tafseer in English is recommended? I'm confused as there seems to be so many. I have basic knowledge only and so would like something which would suit beginners rather than the advanced people. I would also like to purchase it in paper form in the UK rather than read it online. And ideally with the arabic in urdu/persian style.

Jazakallah for any help.

Salaam,
I have been doing hifz for quite some time now and had memorized about 16. I never truly had the intention of memorizing and was forced by my parents and family members. I kept switching teachers almost every 2 juz because of either money, or some other problems. I was too scared to tell my parents that I wanted to quit hifz and I am also very scared of telling this now as well. I eventually forgot everything and tried to review but I had too much to worry about, such as school/college and family to take care of. I told my parents today and they didn't agree with me. I told them I had no intention and I don't want to continue something with no niya. I told them that I would continue reading quran but not memorizng because I can't and I have no intention too. At the time i started I was about 10, and everyone sent me to different madrassa's. I told them my true intention was to become a doctor who can provide for the ummah and not use it for selfish reasons. Am I wrong for quitting something I had no intention of from the beggining? I don't want to use it for pride or selfishness but to help the community and closeness to Allah (swt). I want to choose my own way of gaining good deeds.

If it is possible private message me if anyone would like to talk. Jazakallah Khair.

Narrated Ibn 'Umar:
When 'Abdullah bin Ubai (the chief of hypocrites) died, his son came to the Prophet and said, "O Allah's Apostle! Please give me your shirt to shroud him in it, offer his funeral prayer and ask for Allah's forgiveness for him." So Allah's Apostle (p.b.u.h) gave his shirt to him and said, "Inform me (When the funeral is ready) so that I may offer the funeral prayer." So, he informed him and when the Prophet intended to offer the funeral prayer, 'Umar took hold of his hand and said, "Has Allah not forbidden you to offer the funeral prayer for the hypocrites? The Prophet said, "I have been given the choice for Allah says: '(It does not avail) Whether you (O Muhammad) ask forgiveness for them (hypocrites), or do not ask for forgiveness for them. Even though you ask for their forgiveness seventy times, Allah will not forgive them. (9.80)" So the Prophet offered the funeral prayer and on that the revelation came: "And never (O Muhammad) pray (funeral prayer) for any of them (i.e. hypocrites) that dies." (9. 84)
