I have studied Islam for a while now, as my partner is a Muslim and seeing his dedication and love for his faith inspired me to explore Islam, to which i feel very welcomed and understood and feel that i truly want to revert. We are not married, however planning to.
I am 6 months pregnant with a baby girl, since finding out about the pregnancy the baby's father have had no contact with me, they didn't before however with their first grandchild coming to soon, i imagined they would want a level of involvement, which they haven't had. I do question sometimes that my partner has told his family he is to be expecting a daughter, but i am assured by my partner that that is the case, and i love and trust in him enough to believe him, however there is that niggle that they perhaps do not know.
Is it common for the grandparents not to want to be involved until we are married? I have spoke to my partner whom has told me that they express upset with us not being married and me not reverting yet, however that has put me under no pressure that i feel i must rush my journey.
The pregnancy so far has been a difficult one, and i am concerned and hurt slightly that his family have not offered support, however i'm not sure if this is due to a cultural or religious reasoning.
We plan to raise our daughter as a Muslim from birth.
Alhamdulillah!

Alhamdulillah, my little girl is 4 months old and is a very active, healthy baby. She babbles a lot, likes to talk and listen, and is a very easy child by the mercy of Allah swt. I recite the basic duas to her, like dua when waking up, sleeping , eating etc. But I was wondering what else I can do so that she grows up with a strong foundation in deen. What can I do to stimulate her intellectually and help her reach her full potential inshaAllah?

I would appreciate if members could suggest duas, adhkaar, books, activities etc.

:jazak:
