I was advised to memorise after Fajr salah, after praying Salatul Hajat, then recite the Surah you've learnt in nafl salah afterwards (preferably in tahajjud salah). Keeping away from sins aids memorisation.

Does anyone have any du'as for memory? I heard the Prophet salallahu alayhi wasallam taught Ali, karamAllahu wajh, a du'a for memory...?

    Assalamu Alaykom,

If it's ok to ask, How much did u memorise the first time u tried this? i.e. what was the amount that you were reciting 100 times?

    Jazaakum Allah khair

    Question Err.. confused!! Please help

JazakAllaho Khayran Katheera It was very very helpful

I have a few questions. I would highly appreciate if someone can answer them.

I have memorized 7 paras of Qur'an but now i have bit forgotten them and i am looking forward to memorize them again as a beginner using the above method.

    1) I would like to know that is it necessary to write them?? If someone cant write Arabic? Shall it be okay if i listen to recitation by any Qari instead of it ??

    2) Secondly when it comes to revise previous lessons, how long will you do it?? Means upto which previous day??

    And as the brother said

    Day 1: 300 reps
    Day 2: 300+150+explanation 15 times
Day 3: 300+150+75+explanations for material of day one and two- totaling 23 times
Day 4: 300+150+75+10+explanations for material of day one, two, and three- totaling 33 times.
Day 5: Continues as day four along with reading everything at once a few times to ensure proper connection etc

so the lessons of day 4th and 5th will be revised 10 times each?? And at sixth day??

    3) If you want to do like for eg 3 pages per day, so is it okay if you do 1 page and repeat it 300 times and than start 2nd and so on?? Or should they be done together??

    4) When it comes to meaning and explanation, can i read myself from a tafseer??

    5) And if there isnt any option of group study?? Because i am going to start this at home and there aren't any sister's around who would like to join this.

Sorry for so many questions, but i am really interested in this way. I want to start it with in a day or two

May Allah reward you immensely here and the hereafter. Aameen.

    Wa Salam,

If one were intending to obtain knowledge of Quran, Tafsir, and Maliki fiqh, in Mauritania would one be best recommended to seek the schools of Muhammad Salim al-udud al-Shinqitni, Murabitul Hajj al-Shinqitni?

Does anyone who has traveled to Mauritania have practical advice on getting there, expenses, and getting around?

    Pretty please
