off course not, i think i know the ayah u are reffering to, u are misinterpreting it.

O Prophet! Why holdest thou to be forbidden that which Allah has made lawful to thee? Thou seekest to please thy consorts. But Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. 66:1

    is that it?

    As Salaam Alaikum

Apparently it seems like Sr Hasina is referring to this verse because that is the only verse which comes in that meaning.

If that is the case then it is not a rule which is general rather it means that one shouldn't make Halal things Haraam just for the sake of ones wife, and this is a known rule in the Shariah.

It is also known that pleasing ones spouse is an act of Sadaqa so much so that feeding ones spouse is Sadaqa.

Just asking, forgive me if I am wrong, but is there a Hadith that said he had the ability of 30 men, or something like that? Again, sorry if I am mistaken.

Yes, there is a Hadeeth in Bukhari in the chapter of Ghusl (Bathing).

    Volume 1, Book 5, Number 268:
    Narrated Qatada:

Anas bin Malik said, "The Prophet used to visit all his wives in a round, during the day and night and they were eleven in number." I asked Anas, "Had the Prophet the strength for it?" Anas replied, "We used to say that the Prophet was given the strength of thirty (men)." And Sa'id said on the authority of Qatada that Anas had told him about nine wives only (not eleven).

As stated by Sh. AbuZaid, pleasing one's wife (and vice versa) is an encouraged and blessed act. Spouses should strive to not only show but truly have love and mercy for the other all the time and attempt to please the other whenever possible (without overlooking other obligations and making Halal things Haram).

    Allah knows best.
